Utter nonsense.
No one says how much they have to spend.
Expect £100m

Not when the amount of players out and of the wage bill
Arnie, Obiang, Hernandez, Perez, Arthur, Adrian Carroll off the wages
That will be rocking on for 70 million

Whatever it is, it won’t be enough.
We are at best, a mid table, mediocre team, who occasionally gives the big boys a bloody nose. If you accept this, life becomes a lot easier.

What the fucks it got to do with any of us? If what we're spending is public knowledge, agents revise their prices UPWARDS to maximise what they can get.
Talk about giving an advantage to your direct competitors - or does the fans knowing something now trump good business practice?

Changing it to what, Barty.
Where does that realistically get us?

Domestic cups are our best hope.
Forgot Europe, we are miles away. As long as we don’t get relegated, where we finish is irrelevant to me.

After reading this interview with Pellegrini where he says he has European ambitions and wants to break into the top 6 I got optimistic, but 25 million wont do much to help him achieve his ambitiouns

I saw the story first from Sean Whetstone.
Not sure where he got it from.

You are probably right, Ern.
Owners wants - PL football. Be all, end all.
Fans wants - A trophy. Any fucking trophy.....

Top teams have progressed while making a profit in the transfer market. There is no right or wrong figure for a sensible budget. It's how you spend whatever funds you generate. We have bought incredibly badly for a decade, hence we've generated... well, nothing.

Alex is right, but neglects that those teams originally invested both well and strongly to put themselves in a position where they could make progress for a small outlay. We aren’t in that position and need to invest both well and heavily in order to be in a position to not have to lay out loads.

Next level was always a certainty with those two old stalwarts Sullivan and Gold at the helm.
The decision to flatten our home and move to an athletics stadium has definitely been vindicated by making such a substantial amount available.
Champions league here we come.
